The way to become a coordinator

Any natural or legal person can become a coordinator. The prerequisites are described in the Certification Guideline or the General Regulations.

Becoming a coordinator can be an option for, e. g. producer and trade associations, regional organisations, abattoirs, consultation services, storage, preparation and market companies.

Interested parties sign up at the QS database for scheme participation. The companies that are supported by the coordinator are registered as well and audited by an authorised certification body that is contracted by the coordinator. After successful inspections the coordinator receives a QS scheme contract. From then on the certified companies receive supply authorisation for the QS scheme.
