Sanction board
Violations of the criteria of the QS-system will be penalized by the Sanctions Board. The Sanctions Board is deployed as independent and impartial QS body. Under the chairmanship of a judge, a lawyer and at least one independent expert for each product area will discuss whether and if so how infringements are to be penalized. The sanctions imposed by the Sanctions Board will be implemented by the QS office.
Establishment of violations
Violations of the criteria of the QS-system are determined in the course of the neutral system and random checks, the special controls and the monitoring programmes by certification offices, laboratories or by QS itself. In the QS system requirements that are considered to be of specific importance will feature in the checklists as Key Criteria. Violations of the key criteria lead to the initiation of a sanction procedure. The Sanctions Board can punish violations by means of disciplinary notices, fines or by the temporary or permanent exclusion of the system partner.
