The food chain for fresh fruit, vegetables and potatoes covers the growing, wholesale and food retail trades. In order to ensure the cross-stage quality assurance needs are met, the QS Fachgesellschaft Obst-Gemüse-Kartoffeln GmbH was founded in 2004. Representatives of all stages of the growing and wholesale industries as well as the food retailers come together in the committee to commonly determine the contents of the QS system.
