Feed production
Consumers make high demands with regard to the perfect quality and safe trading of foodstuffs. In order to achieve seamless quality assurance, all participants in the animal feed sector must be incorporated in the QS system. The animal feed sector covers all activities of animal feed companies, for example, the manufacture of individual and of mixed feeds, the trade, storage and handling as well as the transportation of animal feed.
For this purpose, many foodstuff manufacturers make foodstuffs as their main product and animal feed as side or associated products; these are also part of the food chain and must meet the QS criteria for animal feed.
