Participation

All mixed animal feed manufacturers that take part in the QS system are working towards a common goal, making the production processes transparent for the consumers. Mixed animal feed manufacturers participate directly in the QS system. The prerequisite for the authorisation in the QS system is the registration for participation in the QS system as well as the proof of certification by a QS authorised certification body.

Mixed animal feed manufacturers register their business directly on the QS software Platform ; the initial registration is always carried out online. The "New registration" link is used to enter the required data of the system aspirant. A certification body  must be selected for the forthcoming audit. After successfully registering online, the access data for the QS software platform will be sent by email to the system partner. This enables additional locations or further production types at a location that is already registered, to be added to the business record.

QS system contract/Use of the mark

After the test report entered by the certification body into the QS software platform has been checked, the future system partner will be sent a system contract. Only when this contract has been signed by the system partner and countersigned by QS does the system partner receive the authorisation to supply into the QS system for the company and the relevant audited sites. As of this point in time, the system partner can then be called up via the "System partner search" function of the QS software platform. In addition, QS also authorises the issuing of the certificate by the appropriate certification body.

With the conclusion of the system contract, the system partner is authorised to use the QS mark. In order to ensure the uniform use and thus to ensure the recognisability of the QS mark, the QS mark may only be used in accordance with the specifications of the system contract and the design catalogue.

In the Log in section for mark utilisation you will find the design catalogue for the QS mark as well as printable files.

Product identification

QS products must be uniquely labelled. The labelling must be product-specific and included on the delivery note for loose goods. For sack-sold goods, each sack must be clearly identified as QS goods. Only animal feed that is made in accordance with QS requirements and which falls under the current QS scope of application may be labelled QS goods.
