Trading, transportation, storage and transshipment
Since 1st January 2008, businesses in the trade, transportation, storage and handling of animal feed can be certified according to QS.
Until now, QS left this to other certification system and standards, such as the GMP B4.1 certification for the road transportation of animal feeds. With the incorporation of the new scopes of validity into the QS system, the QS supply chain is closed further.
Additional recognition of third-party certifications
Companies in the trade, transportation, storage and handling sectors with a third-party certification recognised by QS (i.e. a GMP B2 certification for trading with animal feeds) will continue to be recognised by QS. This prevents dual auditing and thus an additional load on the company.
The certificates recognised by QS for the various different scopes of validity are shown in a clear overview in working document for the Animal feed industry guideline.
