Vehicle cleaning
A company that wishes to transport animal feed after a particular type of goods has been transported, must first subject the vehicle to a certain type of cleaning regime.
In 2007, the International Committee of Road Transport (ICRT) was founded. The aim of the ICRT is to divide freights into categories according to the potential risk to animal feed and to specify the cleaning regimes. All products categorised thus far will, in future, be accessed via a common database. This database is currently being constructed. Until such time, use the freight categories from the PDV database.
Here you will be forwarded directly to the "database of transportation categories"
Some freights are categorised differently within the framework of the various standards. This is partially for legal reasons. These are listed in an overview entitled "List of differences".
Please also remember that when transporting products with different categories, the vehicle should always be cleaned according to the strictest cleaning regime.
