Participation
The prerequisite for the authorisation into the QS system is the registration for participation in the QS system as well as the proof of certification by a QS-QS authorised certification body . Meat processing companies register their business directly on the QS software platform; the initial registration is always carried out online under the "New registration" link. A certification body must be selected for the initial audit. Under the menu item "Certification bodies/laboratories", QS maintains a list of the authorised certification bodies.
QS system contract/Use of the mark
Only when the test report of the initial audit has been entered into the central QS software platform and is available to QS, will the system aspirant receive a system contract. Both copies of the system contract must be signed and returned to QS. As soon as QS has the signed contracts, the registered company is listed as system partner on the QS software platform. QS notifies the certification body employed by the system partner so that a certificate can be issued. With the conclusion of the system contract, the system partner is authorised to use the QS mark. In order to ensure the uniform use and thus to ensure the recognisability of the QS mark, the QS mark may only be used in accordance with the specifications of the system contract and the design catalogue.
