The production and marketing of meat and meat products is a multi-stage process starting with the production of animal feed, proceeding to agricultural production, slaughtering, deboning and processing and through to the retail trade. The QS scheme integrates every one of these individual production and marketing stages into a comprehensive quality assurance system. In doing so, the same high level of care and precision is applied to every stage of the process.
