Food safety always in mind

Abattoirs and deboning companies within the QS scheme are constantly focusing on food safety and animal welfare. Companies that wish to register with the QS scheme, proceed as follows: A new registration is carried out via the QS database. One of the certification bodies authorized by QS will then carry out the prescribed initial audit. A successfully passed audit is the prerequisite necessary to ensure that a system contract will be issued. As soon as the signed contract has been received by QS, the company will be recorded as a scheme participant. The certification body issues the certificate. From this point onwards, the company may use the QS test mark in accordance with the contractually regulated specifications and they may supply into the QS supply chain.
