Growing number of scheme participants in 2014
The number of our scheme participants grows continuously. In 2014 another 2,228 scheme participants chose QS. This is demonstrated by the current analysis.
In the supply chain meat and meat products QS registers 1,975 new participants. That comes to a total of 108,597 in this supply chain (as at 1 January 2015). 97,985 of these participants are from Germany and 10,863 from abroad. The number of QS scheme participants in the supply chain fruit, vegetables, potatoes has increased by 253 companies from Germany and abroad. The total number is thus at 29,226 (as at 1 January 2015).
The increase in agricultural businesses is particularly worth highlighting. Another 1,187 cattle farmer improve the availability of beef from the QS scheme. Another important development can be recorded in the area of logistics: A total of 98 logistics companies, 36 of them from abroad, are among the scheme participants. The reason for this is the compulsory registration for logistics companies in the QS standard logistics since 1 January 2015.
