International Relevance of ICRT grows
The International Committee Road Transport (ICRT) has two new members: The standard owners AIC (Agricultural Industries Confederation) and Gafta (Grain and Feed Trade Association) from the United Kingdom have joined the ICRT.
As a result the group of participants has grown up to seven standard owners. The earlier members are OVOVOM and Coceral (both from Belgium), GMP+ (Netherlands), Qualimat (France) and QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH (Germany).
ICRT, founded in 2007, aims to harmonize criteria for the road transport of feed. Its focus is on achieving an equally high quality level for the transport companies throughout Europe. Risk classes for hundreds of materials and products that are transported on the road are defined in a common database. For every single prior carriage a cleaning procedure is specified that has to be followed before feed is allowed to be transported with that vehicle.
The database (International Database for Feed IDTF) is publically accessible at: www.icrt-idtf.com. The database is offered in English, French, Dutch and German.
