On 1 January 2020, the revised Guideline Feed Sector will enter into force. We have already compiled the most important changes for the feed sector in advance:
The chapters on the QM system in the guideline under points 2.2-2.9 have been completely revised and adapted to ISO 9001:2015 in terms of content and language.
The QS scope for feed production will be extended to all feed for food producing animals from 2020. This means that - in addition to cattle, pig and poultry feed - feed for other animal species (e.g. sheep, goats, rabbits) can also be advertised and traded as QS goods.
From next year, there will be an independent QS scale of fees for groups of companies that have their bundles certified for trade, transport, storage or transhipment. In future, the annual QS scheme fee will consist of a basic fee for the head office and fees for the individual locations and will therefore depend on the number of locations belonging to the group of companies.
From 2020, the main location (the company Head Office) must be audited at least once a year for bundle certification. The frequency of audits continues to depend on the QS status of the bundle. The detailed requirements for the audit frequency for bundle certification are described in the Guideline Certification.
