All slaughterhouses in the QS system are obliged to report the defined indicators to the diagnostic data database.

Refer to the Guideline Diagnostic Data in Poultry Slaughtering. Camera systems for recording foot pad changes must be used if the maximum slaughter capacity exceeds the following values:

  • 4000 chickens per hour
  • 500 turkeys per hour

In companies with lower slaughtering capacities, the detection can be done manually: then 50 pairs of feet at the beginning and 50 pairs of feet at the end of slaughter batch must be evaluated by qualified persons.
