As part of our media collaboration with the international magazine Eurofruit, the fifth and thus for the time being the last article about the QS requirements for companies in the fruit and vegetable sector has been published. In the current issue, we give an overview of the role of the certification bodies, auditors and laboratories in the QS scheme.
In the QS scheme, strict, stage-specific requirements for reliable quality assurance apply from the farm to the shop counter. Independent certification bodies authorised by QS verify with their auditors, whether and to what extent the requirements are being implemented. Additionally, QS-approved laboratories carry out extensive residue analyses within the framework of the monitoring programmes. The results from the audits and the analyses of the laboratories are recorded and documented in the QS databases. Thereby, the quality assurance in the QS scheme becomes comprehensible and the confidence of all participants in safe food is enhanced. …
